Research
My main areas of research are sociolinguistics, grammar (morphosyntax) and pragmatics. I concentrate on language planning and language management theory (language standardization, language policy in the EU, European language law, the position of foreign languages in the Czech Republic) and the morphology and syntax of contemporary German (inflection of verbs and nouns).
